An exciting announcement about the Open Compute Project this week: The Dept. of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) says that it plans to deploy a series of OCP-inspired high-performance computing clusters designed by OCP solution provider Penguin Computing. The NNSA will use the clusters in three of its national laboratories — Los Alamos, Sandia, and Lawrence Livermore.
